How to Install Our Graphics
1. Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be considered dirty and must be cleaned prior to the application of markings. Recommended cleaning procedures for specific surfaces are listed below.
A. Plastics & Glass
Saturate a clean clothh with a 2 to 1 mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol and wipe the surface. (Cleaners such as Windex may be used). Wipe the surface with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
B. Painted Metals and Base Metals
These surfaces must be cleaned with a solvent such as: DuPont Prep-Sol Cleaning solvent, Xylol, VM&P Naphtha, or Lacquer Thinner. Dry the surface with a lint-free cloth before the solvent evaporates. Freshly painted surfaces must be dried one week prior to application.
C. Interior Painted Surfaces
Paint must be dried one week prior to application of markings. Clean the area where the markings are to be applied with a household cleaners such as 409. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
To apply the graphics...
1. put a low-adhesive tape at the top of the graphic to create a hinge.
2. take the backing (liner paper) off of the graphic
3. use a squeegee to lay the graphic down correctly.
4. use the squeegee to make sure the graphic adheers to the surface.
5. remove the pre-mask tape from the graphic slowly.
Lastly, wipe area down and get rid of any bubbles.
